Why choose this course?
This course aims to develop competent managers for general business administration and management. It is ideal if you want to follow a broad but comprehensive business and management programme rather than specialise in one particular area. You also undertake a placement in your final year.
Students who have already completed two years of a similar course overseas, but would like to complete their degree in the UK, can undertake the final two years of the course, including the chance to undertake a placement in the UK.
What will you study?
In the first two years, you will study a broad range of business subjects, including:
- Finance
- Marketing
- Human resource management
- Operations management
- International business environment
You consolidate and enhance your studies in the third year, examining strategic management issues. You may also be able to gain some knowledge and skills in management consultancy. You can also choose to specialise in a particular business functional area through your choice of three elective modules.
In your fourth year, you will apply your knowledge and skills to a real business organisation during a one-year placement. Building on this experience, you develop an in-depth knowledge of a relevant business and management issue in your placement organisation by writing a business administration management report.
